About

Who we are

We are a team of change-makers who believe that every helping hand can raise a child and create a better future for them.

Jawabu Rehabilitation Center is a Christian, community-based rehabilitation home in Eldoret, Kenya, serving children with physical and developmental disabilities from vulnerable families.

Every child that comes through our center is treated with dignity, love, and compassion. Our goal is to ensure that each child receives the care, therapy, and opportunities they need to grow, heal, and thrive — regardless of their background or condition.

Our approach

Our Mission
To Provide compassionate, holistic rehabilitation, therapy, and family support for children with disabilities, so they can experience dignity, independence, and hope.

Whether a family needs emotional encouragement, emergency support, specialized guidance, or the assurance that someone genuinely cares, our team responds with compassion and urgency. Every child and caregiver we serve receives personalized attention, practical solutions, and a community that stands beside them on their journey toward dignity, independence, and hope.

Our Vision
A Kenya where no child is hidden or left behind because of disability, and where families are supported to care, advocate and dream for their children.

We envision a Kenya where every child with a disability is seen, supported, and celebrated — never hidden or left behind. Our growing network of partners, donors, and advocates is helping us build a future where families can access quality care, education, therapy, and empowerment opportunities in every region. As we expand, our commitment remains the same: to reach each child with compassion, restore confidence in families, and open doors to a brighter, more inclusive tomorrow

OUR STORY

Jawabu Rehabilitation Center stands on the shoulders of a caring community. Churches and local congregations across Uasin Gishu County regularly pray with us, visit the children, and share food, clothing, and encouragement. Friends from Eldoret town, the neighboring estates, and even from outside the county give their time and resources so that no child at Jawabu feels forgotten.

We are also deeply grateful to corporate partners who walk this journey with us. Safaricom and the M-PESA Foundation have invested KES 27 million to build a 144-bed dormitory, physiotherapy room, dining hall, and therapy equipment. Other organizations, including Kenya Pipeline Company in Eldoret and local businesses, continue to provide practical support that keeps this work moving forward. Together, this wider Jawabu family is helping children with disabilities receive the care, dignity, and opportunity they deserve.
